The derelict church at the Old French Mission, Béthanie Hall in Pok Fu Lam, was the secret garden backdrop for the China-themed launch of Virgin Atlantic’s London to Sydney (via Hong Kong) route. Virgin boss Richard Branson flew in with 250 journalists from the UK to mingle with local media, celebrities and the who’s who from the region. Guests arrived through a bamboo forest into which Orient had dotted award-winning percussion group 4 Gig Heads and principals from the Hong Kong Ballet and City Contemporary Dance Company, who we choreographed martial arts-style. Red lanterns, dragons and a roast suckling pig on the rooftop completed this playful foray into Chinese culture.
