Art Basel, Score, Hong Kong

Commissioned by philanthropists Yana and Stephen Peel, Orient Unlimited produced an off-site event in a loading bay in Chai Wan to coincide with the annual international event Art Basel, featuring the New York performance artist Ryan McNamara and his conceptual performance Score. Playing on the meaning of Score as 20, this electric event had 20 dancers (6 from New York and 14 from Hong Kong), do 20 performances (featuring Chinese Opera and Cantopop) in 20 minutes to a packed audience. As the hottest event of the Art Basel week, literally and figuratively, it was a blast to work on.
