To mark the opening of identical twin brother designers Dean and Dan Caten’s first Hong Kong store, and with the dynamic duo in attendance, Orient took over Shaw Studios, the city’s signature film venue, to stage a party and fashion show. As this was primarily a social gathering, we didn’t want a conventional catwalk to interrupt the fun and flow of the evening. So instead, our team built an 11-metre high concrete wall, which opened up on cue to reveal a tilted runway, which disappeared just as elegantly as it arrived to make way for the dancing. Rear-lit scrims and spot lighting allowed for a dramatic staging of the models for each of the catwalk sequences.
