When British designer Stella McCartney came to town, Orient was commissioned to produce a cool landmark event for friends of the eponymous fashion house. In response, we transformed the top floor of an old industrial building in Wong Chuk Hang into a supreme hang-out, creating hip and quirky spaces for guests to relax and play. Our killer crew craned a giant glass conservatory, real trees and grass up 17 floors to create a rooftop garden with vistas over Hong Kong. In the party room, revellers rocked to the sounds of avant-funk Londoners New Young Pony Club, while those in search of a little recreation shot pool in the games room with balls motiffed with the Stella McCartney logo. Did we say we’re in to detail?
